Concert Concreamus – What the Silence Offers

What the Silence Offers

Presented by Concreamus - A project of MSC Choirs

Saturday, December 10, 2022 @ 8:00pm – Metropolitan United Church,  56 Queen St E, Toronto, ON M5C 2Z3.

Please Note: If you are unable to attend the concert, please consider buying tickets as a donation to the choir. Tickets purchased as a donation will be donated to families associated with Sistema Toronto and the Marigold Music Program, to allow young musicians who would otherwise not be able to afford to come to the concert the opportunity to attend.

Join Concreamus for an evening of newly composed choral music. Concreamus will present works by Katharine Petkovski, Sami Anguaya, Vivian Kwok, Nicholas Wanstall, Elizabeth Legierski, Michael Nunes, and Evan Hammell, and premieres of works by Emily Green, Kai Leung, Francesca Hauser, and Erik Kreem.

The program will focus on themes of grief, time, and hope, examining the ways in which we process pain and emotional distress. The composers will discuss their works and the context in which they were written. Many of the pieces will be available for purchase at the concert at a discounted price. Any purchases go directly towards supporting the composers and Concreamus’ future projects.

Artistic Director: Kai Leung
Assistant Conductor: Katie Hatanaka
Accompanists: Nicholas Wanstall, Christian Umipig.
